Nicks Dress + Blouse Sewing Class

Fabric
Choose a light to midweight woven fabric with good drape, such as:
- Rayon Challis
- Viscose
- Linen or Linen Blend
- Cotton Lawn
- Cotton Voile
- Batiste
- Chambray
- Silk Crepe or Charmeuse (optional)
Fabric Requirements (58" wide fabric):
- Dress (View A): 5–5¼ yards
- Tunic (View B): 2¼ yards
- Blouse (View C): 1¾–2¼ yards (depending on size)
Notions
- Matching thread
- Five ½" (12 mm) buttons (Dress or Tunic button-front views only)
- ½" elastic
- 2 yards for the Dress (waist and sleeve cuffs)
- ½ yard for the Blouse (if making elastic cuffs)
- Lightweight fusible interfacing (for the blouse facing)
- Fabric marking pen or chalk
- Safety pin or tube turner (for turning button loops if using that neckline option)
Sewing Supplies
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Universal needle (70/10 or 80/12 recommended)
- Fabric scissors or rotary cutter and mat
- Pins or sewing clips
- Seam ripper
- Measuring tape
- Hand sewing needle
- Wonder Tape (optional, but helpful)
Please prewash and press your fabric before class to prevent shrinkage and ensure you're ready to begin sewing.
