Join us for a fun and rewarding garment sewing class as we create the beautiful Elodie Wrap Dress by Closet Core Patterns. This timeless wrap dress features a flattering V-neckline, elegant waist ties, and your choice of sleeve and skirt options, making it a versatile wardrobe staple for every season.

Throughout the class, students will learn garment construction techniques including reading and cutting a pattern, creating a wrap bodice, sewing sleeves, attaching a gathered skirt, finishing seams, and achieving a polished, professional fit. This class is perfect for adventurous beginners and intermediate sewists looking to build confidence in apparel sewing while creating a dress they'll love to wear.

Fabric

Choose a light to medium-weight woven fabric with good drape.

Recommended fabrics:

• Linen or linen blends
• Rayon Challis
• Viscose
• Cotton Lawn
• Cotton Voile
• Double Gauze
• Lightweight Chambray
• Crepe
• Silk Noil

Fabric Requirements (54–60" wide):

• Dress: Approximately 3–5 yards depending on size and view selected.
• Top: Approximately 2–3 yards depending on size and sleeve option.

Notions

• Matching all-purpose thread
• Lightweight fusible interfacing (approximately ½ yard)
• Fabric marking pen or tailor's chalk
• Pins or sewing clips

Sewing Supplies

• Sewing machine in good working order
• Universal needle (80/12 recommended)
• Fabric scissors or rotary cutter and mat
• Seam ripper
• Measuring tape
• Hand sewing needle for finishing

Please prewash and press your fabric before class to prevent shrinkage and ensure you're ready to begin sewing.
