Stretch-Woven Pants Fitting Class Supply List

Pattern & Fabric

• Stretch-woven pants pattern-provided
• 2.5–3.5 yards stretch-woven fabric 
• 2–3 yards muslin or inexpensive test fabric for fitting

Sewing Supplies

• Pattern-Butterick 7024
• All-purpose thread to match fabric
• Universal sewing machine needles (80/12 or 90/14)
• Fabric scissors
• Pins or sewing clips
• Seam ripper
• Fabric marking tool (chalk, washable marker, or pencil)
• Measuring tape
• Seam gauge
• Clear gridded ruler

Pattern Fitting Supplies

• Pattern tracing paper (optional)
• Scotch tape or painter's tape
• Tracing wheel and tracing paper
• Elastic (1" wide, enough to fit around your waist)
• Sharpie marker
• Cardboard cutting board or similar surface for pattern work

Equipment

• Sewing machine in good working order
• Sewing machine manual
• Extra bobbins
• Iron and pressing tools (recommended for home use)

Optional

• Rotary cutter and cutting mat
• Pattern weights
• Plumb line (or string with a small weight attached)
• Notebook for fitting notes

Before Class

• Prewash and dry your fabric as you intend to care for the finished garment.
• Assemble and cut out your pattern if instructed by the instructor.
• Wind matching bobbins and ensure your sewing machine is in working order.

This class will focus on achieving a personalized fit for stretch-woven pants through tissue fitting, muslin fitting, and garment construction techniques.
